It all started with Tarini, an Indie dog from the streets, helplessly caught in a trap meant for pigs for straight 7-days. She could have died of hunger and pain if a concerned reporter had not contacted Desiwoof with her details. Desiwoof immediately arranged for a team that went on to rescue her during midnight. Her release took hours of effort. The trap had wounded her deeply and required immediate surgery to get removed safely.
This incident realised us of the importance of funds when time is slipping for the animal.
While working to rescue injured lives, many times, a rescuer faces the urgent need for funds. It could be a road accident or a case of abuse. These incidents are unplanned but need immediate attention. During such times of unfortunate trauma both for the victim animal and the rescuer, Desiwoof intends to ease their stress.
Our Emergency Rescue Fundraiser is our initiative for unexpected and urgent rescues. Whenever any Rescuer is in immediate need of resources during an animal-related emergency, this Fund would be used to help the victim animal in need.
Animal-related emergencies are very common in India. Any genuine person stepping forward to help such animals will have our back. Our Team works with Rescuers and Rescue cases Pan-India to reach as many animals as possible.
Our Team connects with people/organisations soughing our help to raise funds for the victim animal and records regular updates on the case. We closely monitor all the bills, geo-tagged videos and photos related to the case. We transfer the funds to the Rescuer/ organisation only after verification and follow them throughout.
Our platform is secure, safe, and open. A donation made through Desiwoof is traceable and accessible to everyone, unlike other donation channels such as UPI or Wallet, making every penny trackable. We keep a careful eye on and verify the use of any funds we supply.
